All Sigma Fellows get access to AWS Activate - AWS’s flagship startup program, providing founders and their teams with promotional credits, technical support, and business mentorship at every stage of their journey. This includes $10,000 in AWS Credits valid for 2 years.
👉 To access those benefits, register via this form and you'll hear from us shortly after. Please keep this internal just for Sigma Fellows.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for AWS Activate Portfolio, startups must be founded in the last 10 years, and they must be either self-funded or have received funding (pre-seed, angel, seed, or Series A). They must be affiliated with an AWS Activate Provider and have a fully-functioning company website. An AWS account is required for participation. Please note that startups should not have not previously received AWS Activate Credits of equal or greater value.
- Create an AWS Builder ID: Before you begin the application process, you'll need to create an AWS Builder ID using your personal email address. Builder ID represents you as an individual and is independent from any existing AWS accounts you may have. You can create your Builder ID by selecting "Apply now" from the AWS Credits page.
- Complete Your AWS Activate Profile: Once you've created and verified your AWS Builder ID, you'll be directed to complete your AWS Activate profile. Be sure to fill out all the required information about you and your startup.
- Choose Your Credits Package: Select the Portfolio credit package and enter your VC/Investor's Organization ID (Case-sensitive and confidential).
- You will receive this from the Sigma team after registration
- Provide Additional Startup Details: After selecting your credits package, you'll need to add more details about your startup, such as your product information and funding details. This step helps AWS understand your business and determine if you're eligible for the credits.
- Link Your AWS Account: In this step, you'll need to either create a new AWS account or link your existing AWS account to your AWS Builder ID. Only one AWS Builder ID can be linked to an AWS account at a time, so you may need to override an existing link for this step.
- Verify Your AWS Account: Complete account verification in the AWS Management Console to confirm your account is valid and properly linked to your AWS Builder ID.
- Review and Submit Your Application: Submit your application. Allow 7-10 business days for processing. You'll receive email updates and can monitor the status on the Credit Application Status page.
